The Solitaire du Figaro Paprec is a race that fascinates and inspires. So, it is our responsibility to make today a race that unites around great sporting adventures but also unites around causes that matter.
This is why we are mobilizing to make this stage race a platform to raise awareness of the protection of the Ocean.
The ambition is simple: by acting as a voice and by connecting all the desires to act, we wish to make this race that we love so much a vector of communication to promote the preservation of marine biodiversity.
MAXIMIZING OUR REACH
To support La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec in its great adventure of transition, OC Sport Pen Duick – the organizing company of the event – has chosen to join forces with Wings of the Ocean and IFREMER. The research organization ensures scientific consistency; for its part, Wings of the Ocean will offer fun activities in the village around the protection of the Ocean.

To support La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec in its transition, OC Sport Pen Duick – the event’s organizing company – has chosen to partner with Wings of The Ocean.
Its teams will raise awareness among visitors about the preservation and protection of the Ocean.
PUBLIC AWARENESS
Numerous activities will be carried out on the stand made available to the NGO every day the villages are open.
Among the many actions, visitors will also be able to participate in the climate fresco workshop, to understand the different issues linked to the climate crisis.
MINIMIZE CARBON EMISSIONS
After carrying out its first CARBON ASSESSMENT in 2021, OC Sport Pen Duick is committed to transforming the organization of a major sailing race in the long term. Limit the environmental footprint of the event by making it less of a greenhouse gas generator, while allowing each visitor to enjoy the best possible experience.
In this perspective, OC Sport Pen Duick will carry out a new CARBON ASSESSMENT of the event in order to identify the positions that emit the most greenhouse gases (GHG), to define a medium and long term reduction trajectory and to establish an action plan for the future. This CARBON BALANCE will measure the carbon impact of its visitors, partners, and exhibitors on our environment (Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3: see visual below).
