Unlike the start of the second leg which took place in very light winds with light northwesterly airs, this start of the third leg looks set to be lively. The reliability is good enough (70%) to see a west-southwest wind of around 15 knots settling in for the start and the coastal course of this final leg which will take the skippers from Royan to La Turballe via the southwest coast of England. At the mouth of the Gironde estuary, the sea will be fairly calm for the coastal course with waves of around 80 cm coming from the west. The weather is set to be unsettled at midday this Sunday with a cloudy sky accompanied by rain or showers.
