Stéphane le Diraison (Flexirub) informed Race Management this morning of his withdrawal from the 3rd leg of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec. Around 4:30 pm yesterday (Sunday), the skipper had a fall in his boat while sailing at the exit of the Gironde estuary. This caused pain in his back and wrist.
After trying to rest his back as much as possible last night, Stéphane le Diraison, who saw no improvement this morning, made the difficult decision to abandon in view of the weather conditions to come on this third stage. He is diverting to a destination that has not yet been communicated. More information to come.
