ROYAN - LA TURBALLE

Heading for the Loire-Atlantique for the 3rd stage between Royan and La Turballe.

The outcome of the 55th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec will once again be played out in Loire-Atlantique, Major Partner of the race but in a new city: La Turballe. This stage will not be a long, quiet river for the sailors, especially since the fatigue accumulated over the first two stages will add additional difficulty.

“After leaving Royan, the competitors will head towards England, passing off the western side of Sein. They will then have to make a strategic choice depending on the current and the weather to get around Ouessant, either via the Fromveur passage, or via the Four at the Breton point, a place that is always a bit tricky. They will then continue their route towards Skerries Bank, a port side mark located to the east of Star Point and negotiate the currents as best they can before returning towards the Breton point where passage will be 100% free. The arrival at La Turballe, where the sailors will be celebrated, will offer a magnificent spectacle! »

Enough to offer a thrilling match on the water with potential turnarounds, and a great spectacle at the departures and arrivals of the three stages of this 2024 edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec.
